Precursors to Disasters

Precursors to Disasters

Precursors to disasters are conditions that usually exist prior to the occurrence of man-made or natural disasters.

Man-made disasters are those caused by human actions. There are four precursors of man-made disasters: overpopulation, economic conditions, ideological differences, and environmental pollution.

Precursors to natural disasters include climate and geologic changes.
